The Route
(approximately 1.1 mile)
Participant’s will depart the Durham Castle Courtyard and proceed through the gates onto Palace Green. Taking the right hand side, participant’s will head towards Durham Cathedral and bare immediate left after the Palace Green University Library, following the lane until reaching the path leading along the riverbank to Prebends Bridge. On reaching Prebends Bridge, official Stewards will guide / assist you across to the other site and along the opposite side of the riverbank. Taking the steps from the riverbank to the top level of Milburngate Bridge, proceeding up Silver Street, past The Market Place, back up to Place Green and back into the Durham Castle Courtyard to end.
Official Stewards and Event Volunteers will guide you along the event route. For additional safety we have ensured that 2x First Aider’s will walk the route with participant’s to assist if and when required.
